OPEN OPEN TIME CAPSULE | Time in the In-Between ist eine Ausstellung zeitgenössischer Kunst im Wartsaal Wipkingen, die Erinnerung als offenen und sich wandelnden Prozess untersucht.
Künstlerische Positionen sind heute so vielfältig wie die Werkzeuge, die sie nutzen. In dieser Ausstellung wird deutlich: Jedes Medium, jede Technik trägt eine Geschichte in sich und wird zum Träger neuer Ideen.
Der historisch geprägte Ort des ehemaligen Wartesaals wird dabei selbst Teil des kuratorischen Konzepts: Als Raum des Übergangs und des Dazwischen eröffnet er eine räumliche Reflexion über Zeit und Erinnerung. Durch seine Lage direkt am Bahnhof Wipkingen erreicht das Projekt ein breites Publikum und stärkt zugleich den Kunstraum Wartsaal als Ort zeitgenössischer Kunst im Zürcher Quartier.

OPEN TIME CAPSULE | Time in the In-Between is an exhibition of contemporary art at the Wartsaal Wipkingen that explores memoryas an open and evolving process.
Artistic approaches today are as diverse as the tools they employ. This exhibition makes it clear that every medium and every technique carries a story within it and becomes a vehicle for new ideas.
The historically significant site of the former waiting room itself becomes part of the curatorial concept: as a space of transition and of the in-between, it opens up a spatial reflection on time and memory. Thanks to its location right next to Wipkingen station, the project reaches a wide audience whilst also strengthening the Wartsaal art space as a venue for contemporary art in this Zurich.
